How to Make Caesar Dressing

Ingredients:

  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Anchovy paste - 1 teaspoon (or 2 anchovy fillets, mashed)
  • Dijon mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Mayonnaise - ½ cup
  • Olive oil - ¼ cup
  • Parmesan cheese - ¼ cup, freshly grated
  • Salt and pepper - to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Garlic:

    • Mince the garlic cloves finely or use a garlic press.
  2. Mix the Base Ingredients:

    • In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, anchovy paste, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice.
  3. Add Mayonnaise:

    • Stir in the mayonnaise, whisking until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  4. Incorporate Olive Oil:

    • Gradually whisk in the olive oil until the dressing reaches a creamy consistency.
  5. Add Parmesan Cheese:

    • Stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese for added richness and flavor.
  6. Season:

    • Taste the dressing and add salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Chill:

    • If possible, refrigerate the dressing for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Tips:

  • Adjust Consistency: If the dressing is too thick, you can thin it with a little water or extra lemon juice.
  • Storage: Store the Caesar dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Your Caesar dressing is now ready to use in a delicious Caesar salad!
